Fisher & Paykel GLW10US out of balance switch replacement?

Hello. I have to replace the out of balance switch on a Fisher & Paykel GLW10US top load washing machine. I've ordered the #420313 Sealed OOB Assembly Kit for the replacement. The old switch has spade connectors, the new switch has sealed wires. What's the proper way to splice the new switch wires on to the old leads from the control board? Also the replacement kit comes with a new housing and the long wand switch bar thingy that hangs down next to the tub. Do I just pry out the old housing and snap the new one into place? It's a little awkward to get at it and I don't want to break anything by mistake.
