Fisher Paykel Fridge error code 20?

I have also got an error code 20 on my Fisher and Paykel french door refrigerator. (The problem originated from when I changed a broken spring on the door flapper and must have stressed the wires.) A repair man recommended buying a whole new door, where parts and labor amount to over $500. I tried J Ballard's technique of unplugging the wires from the lower rear control panel of the refrigerator. This seemed to work as the beeping stopped, but then began again after an hour. Has anyone had luck with this technique or have please photos of how to do it?
