Mend Dyson DC07 Suction Good

is it hard to put in a new moter in a dyson dc07?

i have a dyso which is just about working it smells like its burning suction is not as good as once was i guess the moter is on its way out is it worth getting a new motor and putting it in my self well my husband will do it
