Mend Mountfield 22cx Machine Despite Plug

Mountfield 22cx strimmer - no spark?

Hi
There is no ignition spark on my machine, despite trying a new plug. I suspect it is the ignition coil. Is this an easy fix and can I use a "universal" product, or does it have to be the Mountfield unit at circa £50?
