Tailgate lock fault?

I have a 06 Renault Megane Sport Tourer. The rear tailgate has started opening on its own just as I set off and the rear wiper lifts about 6” at the same time. I was thinking of replacing the tailgate switch but was wondering if the wiper is a separate issue.
