If or when using pushfit joints in pleasure water pipes you need plastic pipe shears. Don't use hack saw the bits produced by the saw and even sand paper can cause the joint to leak. Push fits make life easier and unfortunately expensive simply because the demand is not great like household plushfit joints ( Not suitable for pleasure piping.)
Leasure ones are releaseable. Don't use shears on drainage pipes that have reinforcing wire in the coils.
