Mend Homelite HG18 Hedge Trimmer Engine Clutch

HG18 clutch?

Engine starts and runs OK. But since I opened the drive cover plate for greasing, it won't engage the reciprocal drive, whatever position I set it on. Is the clutch bust, or have\I missed something?
