what is the connection between abs and the speedo?

My ABS light has come on and the service light on my renault megane 55plate. Could this just be a fuse

ABS monitors the speed of wheels and compares one to another. The Speedo also monitors wheel speed. Go figure.

Unfortunately you decided not to say which of the hundreds of make and model of vehicle available you have, so it is unlikely anyone can offer more advice.

You COULD use a well known search engine and see if there are any abs and Speedo faults associated with your make and model
