Mend Vax Dual V Smoke Working Fine

I turned of my vax dual v carpet washer alot of smoke came from the back of?

I switched off my carpet washer which had been working fine and a lot of smoke started coming out the back of the carpet cleaner,I’m not to sure exactly where but definitely from the back
