Mend Vax S7 Steam Water Overheating

V a x s7 steam cleaner?

I have steam only when I press hard on the water container but only in bursts I have checked all the holes and found no blockage I have replaced the filter, the unit seems to be really hot there is a black box inside the unit which seems to be the engine for the unit it is getting red hot.
