Mend Makita DAB Only Power Lead

My makita dab won't work with a battery only the power lead, anyone.know o?

Makita dab radio will only work when used with the power lead, stick a 18v lithium battery in take out.power lead and it won't turn on?????? Very annoying, can anyone help?

When you plug in the mains power lead it will operate a switch that disables battery power - perhaps the switch is defective and permanently disconnecting the battery.

Perhaps the battery holder has bad connections.

Nobody here can see it to make a diagnosis.
