Mend Fre 2422a Appliance Repair Freezer

Unable to release screw ?

Hav tried to take thermostat cover off from Fre 2422a fridge freezer .I am certain it is the thermostat needs replacing .Have managed to ge light cover off but small screw in fitment over thermostat will not budge ! Any suggestions ?
