how to tune a carb on a macalister mbcp 254 brushcutter?
i have been given a macalister mbcp 254 brushcutter i have replaced complete fuel line bung and priming bulb and the pull starter not sure how long manchine been idle for before i got it not long by the sounds of it ,i have it running on the choke but when i take off choke the engine dies , after warmed up it runns on 85%choke but try to throtle up and dies there is only one pacman adjustment screw but got tool to adjust at the moment but i am not sure if it is a adjustment screw and if it is what way do i turn it etc
any help would be great
Hi could you tell me the size of the primer bulb you got for you macallister as trying to buy one mine leaking is it 19mm or a 20 mm cheers

screw in throttle screw until fast idle...
normally to richen the mixture screw out.
screw in to weaken the mix.
screw in mixture screw slowly until feeling resistance DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.
screw out, 1 turn
alter until you get a good balance between high and low revs. only very small amount at a time.
In your case you probably need to richen it.
