Mend Bottom Water Wrong

pump cap?

hi iv cleaned out the bottom of the washer however when iv screwed the pump cap back on water is coming out what could I b doing wrong

Also wipe the rubber seal and the part it seals against to make sure there is no dirt or grit that would stop the rubber from sealing.

the filter cap you mean, make sure that the black rubber seal it still on the cap and its screwed back on very tight,
