How do I restore the sound to a Roberts MP43?

My parents have a Roberts MP43 and there is no sound coming from the speakers, but there is still sound coming from any device that I connect to the headphone port. I have tried a reset on the radio, but this doesn't seem to make any difference.
Any ideas?
