More complex than I hoped - a safety switch - an overload protector a start capacitor power in and power to the motor...

Your first challenge is to get the safety switch operating - connect up the capacitor and the motor only when you're content with the safety switch - it should make and hold itself on until the power is interrupted and then drop out. You test it by pulling the plug.

there are 8 terminals and two reset terminals the wiring
one and one blue with a extension wire thats come from the plug and one black and one white to the moter each with extension connected to a yellow box thank you

There will be four terminals - two for mains power coming in and the other two for power going out to the motor.

If this does not help you come back and explain your dilemma.
