error code b3 / baumatic bdw13 dishwasher?

Hi

re: error code b3 / baumatic bdw13 dishwasher

I've had error code e4, and I took a guess at and replaced the element.

Still not working, now error code b3 which I believe is a problem with the heating circuit.

How would I test the other elements in the heating circuit such as the temp sensor?

Hello 'Lincoln Appliance NZ' - nice 'attitude' there - bit of a keyboard warrior? Uncomfortable with people fixing their machines and not paying you guys? tut tut.

I made a mistake in my statement, it was error code E3 not E4, which I believe is a problem with the heater element or temp sensors.

My question (which you avoided) still stands: How do I test the temp sensors to see if they are working?

If you don't have the knowledge or experience, maybe leave the question to others who can answer?

I'm here to learn, not denigrate.

First off let me assure you I did not post the last reply with the word tit. Someone else has posted that to make me look bad. Secondly, I think I gave you a pretty reasonable answer. I stand by what I said about a simple test with a multimeter would tell you if the element was open circuit. The same test will tell you if the temp. thermostat is working. I naturally assumed you do not own a multimeter because you said you took a guess that the element was faulty. I also offered you advice to recheck that you have installed it properly. If I was uncomfortable with people fixing their machines & not paying me I would not spend hours on here giving advice free to people like you who don't appreciate it and instead insult my integrity and disrespect my help. You may of gained a better result if you had stated in your 1st post what tools & test equipment you had available & why you had tried to fix it yourself by guess work instead of proper fault finding procedures which we could teach you to do it properly (at no cost) Now because of your rudeness you will have to hope that someone else will come on and help you.

Error E4 is when the water leaks in to the base tray & activates the flood switch. Nothing to do with the heater so don't know why you replaced it. A simple test of the element with a multimeter would of told you the element was ok. Now you are getting an E4 No heating error suggests that you have done something wrong when you installed the heater element. Did you reconnect the wires properly? Instead of guessing at possible faults, why don't you get a multimeter & learn how to use it. That, or get someone out who knows what they are doing.
