Can you lock/unlock with the central locking button on the console?

If so, that would suggest the "relay" and the erst of the lock wiring is OK.

If it is only unlocking and not locking, are there any criteria the lock controller needs to see before it will permit a remote lock? Are all the doors being sensed as 'closed', for instance?

I gather from some forums (presumably the ones you found when you did a search to help yourself) that on some Scenics at least, the remote sensor receiver is located in the interior lighting display. Sometimes water has escapes from the seal under aerial above, and falls onto the PCB and sensor.
