Singer 507?

When I adjust my singer 507 to make the stitching bigger, it doesn't change the size at all and the stitching is really tiny. Does anyone have any ideas what is wrong with it?

A lot of the 500 series machines have plastic feed dog gears. Chances are the teeth have broken on one or both of the gears.

when was the last service? sound like it need either good service and oil or maybe a sticky or broken stitch/feeddog adjuster only way is to spray with good penetrating oil on stitch adjuster and feeddog area and hope something happens,if not open up and find problem only option
