overheating?

if it overheats and the radiator is cold its ur thermostat. does it lose water regularly?check the rubber seal on the rad cap.does the water bubble up when starting from cold in the radiator/expansion bottle if it does its probably ur head gasket another indication of h/gasket is cream inside ur oil filler cap!
