my brand new hotpoint tumble dryer is making a very loud noise?

Totally uncalled for answer from gts. To put his reply in a more professional and nicer way. If I bought a brand new appliance & it was making strange noises then the first thing I would do is phone the shop and ask them if there could be something wrong. That way you protect your guarantee & warranty which they may decide is null & void if you attempt any repair yourself. Give them the job of putting it right for you.
