My Highlands Reg A 31day movement wall clock, of 29years has just stopped?
Bought 29years ago from a well known catalogue store. Wouldn't have been 'an expensive' clock, none the less has kept excellent time, 'all the time', with a full wind up every 28 days or so.
It hasn't had a service or ever been oiled. (no doubt should have had...) However, it has now stopped. If I give the pendulum a push it will 'swing' for 30-40 seconds or so and the clock will 'tick-tock', then sadly stops again.
I have 'trawled the net', but cannot find a clock repairer near BD20, and guessed that my clock probably is in need of a service/oiling.
I don't really want to buy a 'new' clock if avoidable, as I really love 'my' clock. I like to see the pendulum swing and I like to hear a clock 'tick-tock'. Please help! ...
