how can I get screw cap undone on littleyellO steamer?

LittleyellO steam cleaner V2 Screw cap keeps going round but can't get it off. Full of dironised water and can't retrieve it from machine

I found you have to wait for it to cool down completely before you can take the cap off. Have you had any problems with it as far as not producing steam?
