Mend Diplomat L Up 4 Hobs Hob

L coming up on all 4 hobs on diplomat hob?

We have the letter L coming up on all four hobs when we turn the hob on. We have found on this web site how to correct this but reverts back when it is turned off. Have we set a child lock and if so how can we cancel it so as it will turn on normally again.
