Mend Renault Laguna 97 1.8 RT Sensor

Help please - Rear wipers only work briefly on renault laguna 97 1.8 RT?

Rear wipers are not working properly on renault laguna 97 1.8 RT. When I put them on they will work for a little while and then stop. I have to turn it off and on to get it to go again for a while. Any ideas? Is there some kind of water sensor?

Hi My renault Laguna also does this. Its nothing wrong with the car. They are fitted with an intermittent rear wiper, which basically means the wiper does two sweeps of the rear screen then stops for abit, around 7 secs and then does two more sweeps repeating the process all the time that its swiched on. Hope this helps.
