Mondeo Mk3 rear hatch / boot wiring ?

I am about to replace the rear tailgate / boot hatch on my mk3 mondeo as the one I have has a dent in and its more economical to source one of excactly the same colour. My question is is there a connection on the wiring loom anywhere so that it simply unplugs or do I need to cut and rejoin the wires that supply the rear wash wipe, number plate lights and the lock. thanks
