Flashing air bag light on 06 Micra 1.4 SVE?

Light started flashing 2 days ago. Went to garage this morning, electrician looked at everything couldn't find any problems but said would need to have diagnostic test done. Read this site and did Paul's Mississippi Fix and it worked first time.
