I can't put in the code on my Agila?

My display says 'SAFE' so I switch off the radio and switch on the ignition followed by holding the AS button and switching the radio back on. The radio beeps but then displays '4 SAFE' and doesn't allow me to enter the code. How can I switch my radio back on? It is a Blaupunkt C2003 radio cassette.
