I was really struggling on trying to work out how the belt went until i saw Tristans reply. I followed Tristans answer which was perfectly explained and so easy to follow that it was done in seconds once i knew how.

Thanks alot Tristan. I moved house recently, and the belt came off the platter. You saved me from buying another one, thanks alot.

Okay nevermind, I got it off.

There is a very small, thin, horseshoe-shaped metal clip that holds the platter down in the center. Once this is removed, the platter can be removed with a slight tug. Ignore all of the gears indside, they are part of the stop/start mechanism. The belt wraps around only the motor and the large circle underneath the platter (part of the platter)

you can find the proper belt here:

Ive got the same model and my belt fell off while i was fixing one of the buttons... I can't figure out how to get underneath the platter... It doesnt slide off and there are no visible screws indside (after removing the bottom) or on top of the platter... What should i be looking for in terms of a "release clip"

The hardest part is finding the belt, it must the correct length to provide the correct amount of torque. iv nether replaced a belt in your turntable so i cant say what to do...however the units i have used have been very simple with the platter lifting of with minimal effort and allowing the belt to be wrapped around it before looping it around the motor. if not there is often a release clip under the platter after a careful autopsy of you turntable. Avoid overstretching the new belt and good luck! hope this helps..chris
