Mend Vauxhall Astra 1.6 Engine Management Lights

1.6 astra 2003?

they car wont start, and engine management lights stay on even with the key removed. turning the key feels soft. any quick fix?

Vauxhall Vauxhall Astra 1.6 Vehicles, Cars Engine Management Lights

It sounds like your ignition barrel is broken/sheared,only way is to remove it to check,key in position 1 and look for the small hole at top of barrel,depress the indent plunger with a small pin/punch and it should pull out,check the far end of the barrel for the thin shaft breaking,good luck.
