Sovereign petrol mower?

Was using my mower yesterday and it was working fine then all of a sudden the power dropped it sounded like it was out of fuel which was odd as we only just filled it up checked it and has plenty of fuel but now the power is so low and we do not know why! I've only had it 4 months. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

there could be dirt in the fuel. empty the tank out and put fresh fuel in , check that you have oil in the engine with the dipstick on the side, check the idle screw has not fallen out, if you follow the rev cable down , you will see the idle screw, you can adjust it to get it to run faster, but just a little, try that first. the idle screw has a spring on it
