Electric shower won't go cooler?

Gainsborough 9.5e The shower is permanently hot and won't turn down cool or cold. As if the flow of cold water is not getting through. Also when we used to turn shower off there was a steady drip for a few minutes - now it goes off instantly. This is not a problem just different than it used to be
