Mend Minivator 950 Hello Need Help

hello i need help with a minivator 950?

The stairlift will go up ok but you you try to go down you get a number 6 in the diagnostic display .what dose this mean and can i fix this fault

Hi Graham..........code 6 means that a switch is active at power on i.e. Toggle up,Toggle down or infrared remote up/down,,either one could be sticking or faulty..............hope this helps......paul/portsmouth
