Mend Homelite 26ss Trimmer No Spark

How to fix a Homelite 26ss?

My 3 yr old trimmer wouldn't start following an extended use, and had been running fine when we cut it off.
I have checked the spark plug and have found it to be fine, but when I checked for fire from the spark plug wire, I have none.
What's next ?
