citroen xsara picasso engine light and miss fire?

Engine light only come on today been going good until now still running but don't sound too good every so often sounds like a miss

I take it this is a diesel? I don't know why you changed your pollen filter for a misfire but often the only safe way to check a misfire is to get it onto the correct computer and each injector can be safely shut down in turn to test them,also compressions can often be checked also,that is if it is a common rail which your question is short of a few details regarding your motor
