Mend Singer 1130 Hello Working

Singer model 1130 main drive wheel very stiff ?

Hello, my machine was working just fine and then the main drive wheel became very stiff, causing the machine to sew at a tortoise pace and then stop. It is almost impossible to turn the crank wheel as there is so much tension. Please help!

agree with ken but if that does not help you will have to investigate further to find the place where the machine is in urgent need of oil,when last has machine been serviced? you can try and open panels as far possible and spray all movable parts with good lubricating oil,NOT 3in 1

I would suggest that you first take out the bobbin case and have a good look to see if there is a piece of thread stuck in the raceway, iy only takes a small piece and it will stop the machine
