You will have to reset it.
Use the service key (the one with the "S") on it and move it one past the "Z" position.
Turn the register off.
Press and Hold the "0" button as you turn the register back on.
Release the "0" button and turn the key back to the "REG" position and then press the "No Sale" button.
This is a fix from the MA-1450 model but it does work with the MA-1400A-620 model and it might work with the MA-1400A-100 also.
