Just aquired a Vertuosa 150 , hardly used , just sat around for the past 6 yrs , the fly wheel just won't turn , except under extreme physical force , just managed to raise the needle bar high enough to insert new needle , it makes a clicking noise as if to metal parts are hitting each other ! . Any suggestions ?.
I took the fly wheel off my Kenmore, making sure a metal piece used by the clutch was in right. I oiled the machine well and after several tries, turning the flywhee,l turned the rest of the machine and I was in business. It's all in the fly wheel. I thought I had a siezed machine until I experimented w/the fly wheel.
