What is wrong with our Wessex lift?

Our lift isn't working. It seems as if the power isn't getting to the buttons inside the lift and the lift seems to have gone too high up. Has anyone got any suggestions as to what to do. Would be very much appreciated as my daughter is home for the weekend and we are having to carry her upstairs.The number is VM SER 10429
