I have a New World Plan 7 Cooker, the lid is supposed to turn off the gas when it shuts as a fail safe but it no longer does. I had a British Gas Engineer round yesterday to install new smart meters, and found this problem and had to condemn the cooker!!!! Is this a repair I may be able to do myself?
