Mend Cannon 1000 Burning Minutes Smoke

Why is my Cannon 1000 oven burning the food to quickly?

I have a Cannon 1000 oven and when I attempt to cook something within five minutes the food is nearly burnt and the smoke alarms everything goes off. Its not the fan element as this has recently been changed. Could it be the thermostat? Please help
