Mend Vax V-026RD Cut Out Cool Down

how can i fix my vax it cut out while i was using it, i let it cool down fo?

my vax has power and the brushes are turning but the suction motor is not working and it is not blocked. The vax is a rapide delux upright carpet and upholstery washer v-026rd
