Mend Died Lost Power

Angle grinder died?

my 9" angle grinder lost power when I was cutting concrete. It smelled like burning. Is it the bushes?

More than likely the carbon brushes in the motor. Possibly more expensive fixes like commutator or windings, but try replacing the brushes - only a few quid - if still no good, chuck it away and buy a new one. Mid range ones (210mm) are less than £50. It would cost much more than this to repair yours if the brush fix doesn't work.
