Replacing European 220V 50Hz PowerBoard with U.S. 110V 60Hz?

I am an electronic engineer and I have a SAECO Odea Giro Plus that I purchased in Europe in 2009.
My SAECO coffee machine is currently built to European current specifications of 220 Volts and 50hz.
Would the replacement of the European PowerBoard with a U.S. PowerBoard (110V 60Hz) suffice to have my SAECO work in the United States?
Do I need to change anything else?

Thank you for your kind assistance,
Luis

And, did you get it working?

I have the same issue, I just purchased a Saeco GranBaristo Avanti from Europe, but instead of replacing the Powerboard I bought a Steu-Up/Down converter, only Thing I am a bit worried about is the 60 Hz compared to the 50 Hz that we have over in Europe.

Correction to my posting:
I am NOT and electrical engineer, but I am quite handy with electronics.
