Mend Sony Disc Tray Wont Open

disc tray won't open?

I have a Sony Bravia theatre system and every time i go to open the disc tray it says "can't use".
I bought this in Holland new and just before i came back to the UK is when it started happening.
Very frustrating as i haven't used the DVD a lot, any help would be much appreciated.
