Mend Ransomes Matador Left Hand Appears

how can I fix a jammed roller on a Ransomes Matador?

The left hand roller on my 1991 Ransomes Matador is jamming. The problem appears to be the drive mechanism as the roller moves freely with the clutch engaged.
