after a power cut my metamec electric wall clock second-hand turns anticlockwise - what can I do to settle it. Then I turn the knob at the back several times and it begins to turn clockwise as it should be

If a battery one take the battery/ies out leave them out for half hour.
If mains clock switch off for half hour.
Sometimes not every time it works, that 'kicks ass' and makes some electronic gadgets work correctly.
