Mend Diplomat DWO69 Panel Lights Switch Machine

Why do all the panel lights stay on ?

when I switch my Diplomat dishwasher on all the programme lights come on and stay on the machine does not start when i shut the door keep switching on and off to no avail does it mean the control panel needs replacing?
