Mend Dash Car Checked

warning on dash that sterring lock is either on or off. car wont start, ?

have checked fuses, rocked steering wheel whilst pressing start button, still no joy, can anyone help as car is stuck at bottom of the road after I initially tried to bump start it. HELP please

Hi,
I had a friend with the exact same fault on their renault, so to cut a long story of trial and error short. He had to take it to a dealer and have a new steering lock module fitted which cost several hundred quid.
