I'm concerned the panel didn't fire a tamper alarm when you removed the lid on the panel.

TBH moris I would suggest upgrading for a newer model or you could get engineer out,but he probably tell you the same.

Bit of a pain these IDIS panels in my opinion, and not really worth the fuss these days.

Good luck whatever you decide.

I have read all your replies so thank you all,i figured that i would replace the battery as suggested by the previous owner, then use the alarm,so no i have not used it.I can not recall any alarm at all when i removed the metal lid,but I do remember both key pads showing the time:date, now both are showing the message i have questioned.

Did your code silence the tamper alarm when you removed the lid?,or was another code used?.

Have you been using the system with this code prior to the battery replacement?.

Can't understand why you haven't been given user 1 code by the previos owner because user 2 etc can be programmed for ltd access or less authority than one.

Strange carry on here???

I can tell you that both keypad pcb's are the same, just different case styles, and at a guess you have the 8136 panel, unless you can tell us otherwise.

Sounds like a Mosiac going on the rkp's gts.

Think he's going to need an engineer if he only has user 2 code.

Who knows how this panels been set up.

Only one light is lit on both keypads, but I did find a reference for both keypads which I believe are 930:931 if that helps.I have only been given one code by the previous owner who also said the battery was due for replacing.I did check that the metal lid was on ok,so thanks for that gts.

Thanks all.

Also U02 is user code number two.
Do you have any other codes to try?.
User code one for example, also what lights are lit on the keypads other than the tamper?.

Use the add question box below to add additional info, start with the model of the panel, lights etc.

Sounds like you have created a tamper by removing the lid and it needs user1 or engineers code to reset :).
